Hi! I’m Aakash
And I’ve enjoyed making fun and funny films for the past ten years.
When I’m not directing or writing, you’ll find me at the gymnastics mat, practicing digital art, or cooking something average in my kitchen. Let’s create something unforgettable together (unlike my roast chicken).

Project overview
I’ve been fortunate enough to create branded videos for the likes of Johnnie Walker, LinkedIn, Facebook (Meta), Bajaj, and many more. Additionally, I’ve had my narrative itch scratched by production houses, studios, and publishers such as Sony LIV, FilterCopy, Dice Media, and more. Every project has been a lesson that helps me improve for the next one.
I’ve added a link to a playlist with other highlighted videos. Thank you for taking the time to see the creative work I’ve done.

Faasos Pizza Wrap Launch Film

| Date | December 2025 |
| Brief Summary | Directed and wrote five humorous, slapstick commercials for Faasos – headlined by two over-the-top lovable goofs that my co-writer and I came up with. |
| Role | Director, Writer |
| Deliverables | 4 social media adverts |
| Production House | FLOWWV |
Project overview
Faasos came to us with a simple request, “Make the Faasos Pizza Wrap look cool”. Sure, not difficult. “Let us rephrase, cooler than the pizza”. That was the challenge presented to me and the production team. It’s hard to beat pizza in any context – especially when it comes to taste. But, we decided to change the playing field. The Faasos Pizza Wrap is tasty for sure, but it is also more convenient to eat than your typical pizza. To really… REALLY show that, we created two goofy characters: Aman and Bamman, and put them in extremely exaggerated scenarios where the pizza would fail. This became the perfect recipe (pun intended) for four humorous ads that were loved by everyone – from the clients to the audience.

Outcome and notes
The films have helped usher a new direction for Faasos’s social media. Making humor central to the plot was new for them – but has gotten them closer to younger viewers. Additionally, the millions of combined views helped.
Note: The table tennis ball – barring one frame – is completely VFX’d. Super proud of the team for pulling that off in a short time frame.
Letters to Netflix

| Date | 2021 |
| Brief Summary | Create a likable character for Netflix India’s Instagram account who becomes the face of the elusive Netflix admin |
| Role | Director, Co-Writer |
| Deliverables | 4 Episodes |
| Production House | Glitch Media |
Project overview
Everyone and their mom kept commenting on Netflix India’s social media page asking about the identity of the admin. Netflix didn’t want to tell them the harsh truth: that there is a team the size of a small company that handles just the Instagram profile. So, they came to us with a simple task: combine the unhinged personalities of the various Netflix admins into one funny person, who answers the comments – FINALLY! I worked as a co-writer with the two Instagram team’s members to create three hilarious scripts and a lovable goofy character who still appears in my dreams to this day.

Outcome and notes
The series became one of the most viewed on Netflix India’s Instagram page. Everything from the written comedy to the pacing of each episode hit the right notes with Netflix’s younger audience. One of the best projects I’ve been a part of.
Nippon Jewellery: Global Launch

| Date | Fall 2025 |
| Brief Summary | Conceptualized and directed the video for a popular Japanese jewellery brand’s expansion into USA and India. |
| Role | Project Conceptualization, Direction |
| Deliverables | 1 brand film, 150 photographs |
| Production House | abeat.films |
Project overview
Nippon Jewellery has a history of excellence in manufacturing platinum jewellery in its namesake country, Japan. They’re also going through a changing of the guard. The new co-CEOs gave us a detailed business expansion plan of reaching sellers in USA and India. Our brief was not cater to social media, or younger viewers. Rather, they wanted a video for their live showcase. The idea was to make a brand film that looks cool and aesthetic to older sellers. We didn’t need a hook, a CTA – just vibes.

Outcome and notes
The video and photos captured Nippon Jewellery’s energy perfectly. The video and photos we delivered are still being used for their social media, upcoming events, and fairs.
Campus Beats: An Amazon Prime Show

| Date | 2023 – Present |
| Brief Summary | Wrote and helped build a world that captured the hearts of many young college students in India. Campus Beats is a fun, masala-heavy show for people who love dance, drama, romance, with the occasional thrill. |
| Role | Screenplay writer, Story development |
| Deliverables | 8 seasons, 120 episodes |
| Production House | Banijay Asia |
Project overview
In 2023, I was approached by Bannijay Asia and Palki Malhotra – the creator of iconic shows like Dil Dosti Dance, and more. They wanted a young voice on board who could work on a screenplay for an exciting show about college life, young-adult dilemmas, and dance. I said yes and the rest is history. Well, that would have been ideal, but I knew nothing about dance when I said yes to the show. It took a lot of research, a lot of talking to my dancer friends, and trial and error to get the first season’s scripts just write. After that, the rest was history.

Campus Beats: Amazon Prime Video Outlink
Outcome and notes
Campus Beats has become one of Amazon MX’s and India’s most viewed shows. Every season has had the uncanny ability to attract views from college students. The stars are bombarded with love when they visit college fairs, the show has won awards. But the best outcome is when I get surprised looks and compliments from my DAs and younger team members after informing them that I’m the screenplay writer on the show!
High Heels: A Mini Series

| Date | November 2024 – March 2025 |
| Brief Summary | Dice Media’s foray into the world of fashion came in the form of an underdog story that I co-wrote and directed. |
| Role | Director, Co-writer |
| Deliverables | 1 season, 3 episodes |
| Production House | Pocket Aces Pictures |
Project overview
High Heels is a show that tries its best to accurately depict the world of fashion in India. As writer and director, I had to balance this with drama that hooks YouTube audiences within a span of three episodes. The plan for this mini series was to introduce new pairings and on-screen chemistry for Pocket Aces’s various channels. As such, the screenplays I wrote and moments I directed did their best to highlight friendships, rivalries, and mentee-mentor relationships.

Outcome and notes
The show helped revitalize Dice Media’s YouTube presence. Dice’s audience loved the on-screen chemistry between the various cast members. This led to FilterCopy and their various other channels highly-viewed videos with the two leads.
The shoot happened across five days – it was hectic, but I’m proud to say that everyone from the cast to the various crew members never felt pressure. I did my best to communicate the vision accurately from day one, and everyone knew what the plan of action was.
Hope Lives: Music Video

| Date | September 2023 |
| Brief Summary | Made a hard-hitting and personal music video for a song that I couldn’t stop listening to. |
| Role | Director, Conceptualization |
| Deliverables | 1 Music Video |
| Production House | abeat.films |
Project overview
This is a personal project I undertook in 2023 with good friends. Manu is a musician I regularly collaborate with for ads and other projects. He’d come up with a track in 2019 that I heard over and over again – and complimented often. So, he decided to alter it and make a larger, indulgent track and asked if we could make a music video together. This is the result of that.

Outcome and notes
The frames are some of the best I’ve gotten as a director. The project helped me realize the value of community – everyone on set wanted to bring more because they cared about everyone doing a great job!
Amazon Fashion Up! Season 4

| Date | 2024-2025 |
| Brief Summary | Created exciting episodes that look and feel real and help promote Amazon’s reputation in the fashion space. |
| Role | Head Writer |
| Deliverables | 15 Episodes |
| Production House | Paper Planes Pictures |
Project overview
The brief from Amazon for Season 4 was to include real stories and real people. They wanted to show the diversity of options in the fashion space, available on Amazon India.
The team gave me and my writers full freedom to create genuine conversations and games that make each episode fun and engaging. The fashion influencers and real people needed to gel without having met one another.
We went ham with the episodes, perfectly balanced real stories with narratives that worked on screen, and managed to make sure everyone had fun – from the viewers to the people on set!

Outcome and notes
The most impressive thing about this series is that you get to see just how important stylists are. The team was able to go into the depths of Amazon and work with our briefs to create some truly amazing looks.
